On April 28, 2018, the “Childhood Guard & Green Angel—Super Mom & Brave Kid Babeking Insect Exploration Wonderland Public Welfare Tour” organized by the China Women’s Development Foundation and supported by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention was carried out successfully in Guangzhou. A variety of specimens, interesting mosquito repelling experiments, funny interactive Questions & Answers, and “Super Mom & Brave Kid” games attracted a large number of parents and kids. It gave them a deeper understanding and knowledge of harmful insects and mosquito repellent practices.

Every summer, kids are inevitably bitten by mosquitoes. Effectively repelling mosquitoes and preventing mosquito-borne diseases for kids properly is one of the greatest concerns of parents. In this. the fifth year of the “Childhood Guard & Green Angel” series, the theme of Super Mom & Brave Kid—Babeking Insect Exploration Wonderland was chosen, and a 1.5-meter-high “Insect Exploration Wonderland” was built for kids to observe these insects from the best perspective. Kids and parents were able to learn the hazards of mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and other harmful insects. They were able to master scientific mosquito repelling practices in a relaxed and fun environment.

 

 

China’s first three-dimensional Popular Science reading material on mosquito repelling, Wonderful Journey of Insect Exploration, was released on the spot, which shared insect knowledge in an interesting and animated form. In addition, a lively mosquito repelling dance for healthy babies was taught so that kids could easily master mosquito repelling practices.
